Settings
Language, speed limit, proxy, Dock, menu bar, notifications, and App Lock in AVS.
Open Settings in AVS Download Manager to tune how the app behaves on your Mac.
Common controls
- Language — UI language for the Mac app (independent of the website locale).
- Speed limit — cap download throughput so calls and streaming stay smooth.
- Proxy — HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS settings when your network requires a proxy.
- Default save location — folder for new downloads when you do not pick one each time.
- Notifications — finish alerts and other system notifications.
- Post-download actions — optional open-folder or related behaviors when a job completes.
Mac integration
- Dock — keep AVS in the Dock for quick access.
- Menu bar utility — lightweight controls from the menu bar while the app runs in the background.
- App Lock — protect the app with Touch ID (or your Mac login) where hardware supports it — useful on shared machines.
Browser capture
Capture quality depends on the browser extension and keeping AVS running. There is no separate “cloud sync” account — jobs stay on your Mac.
After you change settings
Most options apply immediately. If proxy or extension capture misbehaves, quit and reopen AVS, then retry.
