Torrent

Magnet links and .torrent files with file selection, pause, and resume in AVS.

AVS includes a torrent client for magnet links and .torrent files. Pick which files to download, then pause and resume like any other job.

Open a torrent

Magnet

  1. Copy a magnet:?… link or click one that opens AVS.
  2. Confirm the torrent in AVS.
  3. Wait for metadata (name, size, file list) to appear.

.torrent file

  1. Download or receive a .torrent file.
  2. Open it with AVS (double-click, drag onto the app, or use Open).
  3. Review the file list before starting.

Select files

Many torrents contain multiple files. Use the file picker to enable only what you need — for example one episode instead of an entire season. Deselected files are skipped.

Pause, resume, and progress

  • Pause / resume — stop and continue without losing progress.
  • Seeds / peers — the torrent view shows connectivity at a glance.
  • Incomplete downloads — keep the same torrent open until finished; moving the incomplete folder mid-transfer can break the job.

Tips

  • Torrents need outbound connections; strict firewalls or VPNs can slow or block peers.
  • Prefer trustworthy sources; AVS does not scan for malware inside torrent payloads.
  • Only share and download torrents you have the right to use.
