How AVS docs relate to app privacy — local downloads, the browser extension, and the site Privacy Policy.

AVS Download Manager is built so downloads stay on your Mac. This page summarizes how docs, the app, and the website fit together. For the full legal text (including website analytics), read the Privacy Policy.

Mac app

Files you download are saved to folders you choose on your machine.
There is no AVS account and no cloud library to sync.
Optional features such as App Lock (Touch ID) protect access on your device; they do not send your files to AVS servers.

Browser extension

The extension exists to detect downloads / media and hand them to the local Mac app over native messaging. It is not an ad network. Keep the app running when you want capture to work. Details: Browser extension.

Website and docs

The marketing site and documentation may use analytics (for example Firebase) as described in the Privacy Policy. That is separate from how the Mac app stores your files.

Legal use

Only download content you have the right to download. AVS is not a DRM bypass or piracy tool — respect each site’s terms and copyright.
