How to Download a YouTube Playlist on Mac
Saving one YouTube video is easy to find advice for. Saving a whole playlist — a course, a music list, a conference — is what people actually need. Here is a clean way to do it on a Mac.
The legal line
Only download videos you have the right to download: your own uploads, Creative Commons material, or content whose owner allows it. AVS does not bypass Digital Rights Management (DRM). YouTube’s terms still apply.
Download a playlist with AVS
- Install AVS Download Manager from the Mac App Store and keep it open
- Add the Chrome, Edge or Brave extension
- Open the playlist in the browser and send it to AVS — or paste the playlist URL into the app
- Pick quality, or switch to audio-only if you only need sound
- Let the queue run; each video becomes its own item you can pause or retry
After it finishes
Files land in your library with the usual filters. If you need MP3 or M4A from a video you already have, drop it on the converter instead of downloading again.
