A Download Manager for Chrome, Edge and Brave on Mac
Chromium browsers save to a Downloads folder and forget. A companion extension can intercept the click and send the file to a real manager — with resume, several connections and a library you can search.
Why the browser shelf is not a manager
Chrome, Edge and Brave share the same download UI: a bar, a list, a weak resume. They will not split a large file, catch an HLS stream cleanly, or keep torrents next to HTTP items.
How the AVS extension works
- Install AVS Download Manager from the Mac App Store and keep it open
- Add the extension to Chrome, Edge or Brave
- Click a download as usual — or send a page / video to AVS
- The app takes over: speed, pause, resume, queue
Safari
The extension targets Chromium browsers. In Safari, paste the link into AVS. The Mac app is the same either way.
